The History of Monoplex Eye & Studley Ocular

Monoplex Eye Prosthetics and Studley Ocular Labs have been pillars in the artificial eye community for decades.

Monoplex Eye Prosthetics was originally established in the 1940’s as part of American Optical Corporation located in Southbridge, MA,  American Optical and the Monoplex division were innovators in the plastic ocular prosthetic field. The methods and processes they developed over 75 years ago are still used today.

Studley Ocular Labs has been serving New Hampshire and Southern Maine since the early 1960‘s. When Peter took over the business from Isabel Studley in 1991 he continued to provided patients with the high level of care they were accustomed to while adding his own personal touch and the expertise he received while with American Optical.

Today Monoplex Eye Prosthetics and Studley Ocular Labs work together to provide each and every patient with a custom ocular prosthetic made from the highest quality materials within a compassionate, trusting and understanding environment.
